Checking extension…

Install the extension (one time)

About 2 minutes. You only do this once on each computer.

  1. 1. Download the extension

Sign in above, then click Download extension (.zip). Save the file (your Downloads folder is fine).

  2. 2. Unzip the file

Double-click the zip file, or right-click it and choose Extract All. You should get a folder — keep it somewhere easy to find.

  3. 3. Add it to Chrome

    1. In Chrome's address bar, type chrome://extensions and press Enter.
    2. Turn on Developer mode (switch in the top-right — this lets Chrome load the Vyrex folder).
    3. Click Load unpacked, then pick the folder you unzipped.
    4. Optional: click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Vyrex so the icon stays visible.

Pick whichever is easier — you only need one.

  • Option A — Sign in inside the extension (easiest)

Open TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook. Click the Vyrex icon (or press Alt+V). Enter the same email and password you use on vyrexapp.com.

  • Option B — Connect from this page

If you're already signed in here, click Connect extension above. Chrome will link your account to the sidebar automatically.

Analyse your first video

Once the extension is installed and signed in, analysis runs locally in your browser — no separate helper app required.

  1. 1. Install the extension

Complete the one-time install steps above and sign in (sidebar or Connect extension).

  2. 2. Open a video

Navigate to any TikTok video, Instagram Reel, or Facebook Reel in Chrome.

  3. 3. Click Analyse

Open the Vyrex sidebar (Alt+V or the toolbar icon), then click Analyse This Video.

  4. 4. Review results

Hook, score, tags, and prompt seed appear in the side panel. Save to your library when you're ready.

Optional: Install Native Audio ProcessorShow

Power users can install the optional native messaging host com.viralof.ffmpeg_host for faster on-device audio extraction before transcription. The extension works without it — video is sent directly when the host is unavailable.

  • Connect didn't work? Sign in on this page first, click Connect extension — the sidebar should switch to Analyze automatically (no need to close and reopen).
  • New version available? Download the latest zip above, remove the old Vyrex entry on the Extensions page, then repeat step 3 with the new folder.
